Our History

1983
In the thirties of the year since MTC-MERCURY TRADING CO., LTD. (MTC) registered in Taiwan in the winter of 1982, MTC has become one of Taiwan's best known agents and wholesalers in precision measuring instruments and industrial safety products.
The manufacturers we represented and our professional service enjoyed the confidence from customers in Taiwan and China.

1989
MTC's triangular trademark was registered in 1989. The trademark, a mountain sign containing MTC's English name, symbolizes stability, dependability, lofty ideals, high standards, and courage. The name “Mercury” is taken from the Roman mythology - God of Commerce. We promise to serve as a firm bridge between manufacturers and consumers, striving to fulfill the needs and demands of both.

1990
In 1990, the start of Taiwan's boom in the Information Technology and Machine Tools industries, we established our Taichung branch in order to serve central Taiwan more efficiently.

1993
In 1993, for the sake of better reaching the needs of our customers, and further, we established a branch in Kaohsiung. We remain committed to helping our customers grow, not only for our mutual benefit but for the feedback of the communities of which we are a part.

1995
From 1995, we also opened service offices in Shanghai, Guangdong, Tianjin, and Chongqing, so as to aid our customers in diversifying and expanding their business to the Chinese market. Our products are more various than before to upgrade customer products’ “Quality” and personal “Safety” as well.

2001
In 2001, in response to the enlarged the scope of our company, we changed our organization as a corporation with more shares. Presently, MTC represents more than 20 different famous brands. Manufacturers' full authorization and support, proper orientation on the products helped MTC keep a certain market share in keen competition.

2007
In response to the expansion of the operation scale in the central region and improve the service efficiency and quality, the Taichung company moved from the former site of Zhongkang Street in Xitun District to the new site of Chongde 11th Road in Beitun District in February 2007.

2011
In response to the expansion of the operation scale in the southern region and the improvement of service efficiency and quality, the Kaohsiung company moved from the former site of Wuying Road in Lingya District to the new site of Zhonghua 1st Road in Gushan District in February 2011.

2012
MTC Company formally established a Facebook pages in February 2012, and has a dedicated URL-www.facebook.com/mtcmercury. We hope to provide different channels through social media to let everyone know about the MTC and understand us.

2013
MTC Company held a series of celebration activity for our 30th anniversary. Thank you for accompany us to grow up; because of you, we are nourished and strong. "Leap 30th, meet the future", share this exclusive touch and glory with you!

2018
Celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of MTC Company on 2018.03.01. Happy birthday! Thank you from the bottom of our heart, and share the glory; shining with great achievements and striving for excellence!

So far
From 1982 till now, MTC sales network has covered almost throughout Taiwan and China . The reasons MTC is growing continuously, besides customer' firm support, we also accredit the success to all the employees. Because customers' requirements are always our first priority, to take the lead in technology, to obey local government regulations, and to exalt local manages to run the business localized.
