3M Scott Cylinders are built to the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Transport Canada (TC) requirements. Aluminum Cylinders have indefinite shelf life with required hydrostatic testing every 5 years. Carbon-wrapped cylinders have 15-year life expectancy with required hydrostatic testing every 5 years.
